Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS) is a well-established educational organization founded in 1949 by eminent freedom fighters and philanthropists, Late Sahukar Channaiah and Late K. Puttaswamy, a former Minister of Karnataka. It was established with the objective of promoting education and contributing to the social development of society. Over the years, VVS has played an important role in the educational growth of Mysuru and nearby regions.
VVS is known for its commitment to quality education, discipline, and values. The organization is managed by a committee of 21 members who serve on an honorary basis, showing their dedication to education and public service.
At present, VVS manages around 10 educational institutions that offer education at different levels, from basic schooling to professional and technical courses.
The Institutions under VVS are affiliated with recognized universities and approved by relevant authorities. They offer courses in various fields such as engineering, science, commerce, management, and arts, providing students with broad academic opportunities.
VVS gives importance not only to academic learning but also to the overall development of students. Activities such as cultural programs, sports, technical events, and community service are regularly conducted to help students develop leadership skills, creativity, and a sense of responsibility.
The organization also provides good infrastructure and learning facilities. Its institutions are equipped with laboratories, libraries, and modern teaching resources. Qualified and experienced faculty members guide students in their academic journey. Efforts are also made to adopt modern teaching methods.
Currently, VVS functions under the leadership of Sri Gundappa Gowda (President), Sri Shivalingappa B (Vice President), Sri P. Vishwanath (Secretary), and Sri Shrishaila Ramannavar (Treasurer). Their leadership supports the continued growth and development of the organization.
With a history of more than seventy years, Vidyavardhaka Sangha continues to work towards providing quality education and helping students build a better future.
